week 12 question

As the semester ends, think back over the last few months. What experience has been most valuable to you?

I think that the entire experiance of being at this school has been most valuable to me. Why? Because i think that with classes like entreprenuership and service learning i'm actually learning how to work, by myself and with others. It sure has been a great experiance being at this school and i feel like i have learned so much from everyone here. But my favorite experiance from working a JJ was all the praise i get from being a good and valued worker. This was the greatest work experiance i know and i hope that i get a job at a jittery joes where i get paid to do good work and apply what i have learned here...there.

week 11

What job do you ideally want? What skills will you need to havee in order to get that job? What educational background is required? How does this class help you to train for these things?

I want to be a makeup artist and esthetician . After i graduate i'm going to attend athens tech and get a 2 year degree in aesthetics. This will help me get my liscence to practice aesthetics in georgia. I want to work at a MAC counter one day and after i get my certification i can be making like $15-$20 an hour there more than what they normally pay simply because i did go to school for skin care. This class has helped me train because both jobs are similar because you have to deal with people all the time.

week 10

What is your greatest achievement in school so far this semester?
I'd have to say that my greatest achievement so far this semester is finishing it with passing grades, and also i've learned to keep a level head and push through when i'm having a rough time. It's very exciting that i have come this far and that i will continue to keep going and doing great things even after i finish high school.

week 9

What has been the most difficult part of your job at Jittery Joe's? What would you change if you could?

The most difficult part of working a jittery that i could recall was trying to keep classmmates inline and when i say that i mean trying to keep themm from taking advantage of me. I have had many people who wanted something fromm here trying to ask me if they can pay later or just have it for free. This really gets on my nerves because i'm not going to be used for food, and it's also part of my job to sell items and not just give items away.
If i could change jittery joes i would problably make it known that if you have no money you get nothing free, and if you are a paying customer that your greatly appriciated.

week 8

Now that you have legitimate work experience (if you did not already) do you feel differently about the way you spend money? Assume you earned minimum wage for working at Jittery Joe's instead of course credit. How does that change the value of money in your eyes?

I really dont feel any differently about the way i spend my money. I still blow most of my money when i get it which is awful. I think that if i actually was working a JJ for money that i would spend it on important things like bills and rent and whatnot, because i know that i worked my butt off for the money i earned. But right now I just buy unnessesary stuff mostly. But most of the time i just buy my clothes, get my hair done and other things like that.

Week 7

Yes i have had a bad customer experiance..

One time i had a customer apporach me to purchase a applesauce. I went to the back to the stock room to get her what she wanted. A few mins after i came out the stock room to hand her her applesauce she came back.

She then started complaining that it was already opened and gross. I knew for a fact that it hadn't been opened but i refunded her mone anyways just to make her happy. She then started to complain about my partner's service and then Mr. Hunter asked her to get a pass or leave.
