Week 6

When I’m working I feel good physically. Even when I am tired or feeling run down I still like working because it gives me something to focus on. It gets my mind of problems and issues for the most part which in turn makes me feel less tired. Sometimes when there are a lot of customers I get anxious and stuff but that subsides after a while. When I’m working I get hyped up and I like to keep moving.

Week 5

I can recall several times that I have made a mistake with a customer’s purchase. Once I rang up a pastry and drink twice. I then added the total of the purchase and subtracted that total from the register using the refund setting. Then I told u about it and u told me to write it down in the book so I did. I try to not make careless mistakes like that but it happens to everyone. But as for the future I’m going to try and focus on what I am doing even though it’s hard for me to do so when there are a million people crowding around.

week 4

It’s really hard to work when people are constantly asking me to provide them free stuff. Normally if I have the money I will loan it out to them by putting my money in the cash register, and if I don’t have any cash I just simply tell them that I cant do it. This is how I handle it now and how I’ll continue to handle it in the future.

Week 3

Normally when there are no customers I still perform tasks that help me to stay efficient. I clean and stock and do work for other classes. I also do x reports (when me and Courtney don’t forget them lol). When there aren’t any customers there is always something I can be doing so I try to do what I can with what time that I get. But sometimes I get sidetracked by customers

Week 2

Once when I was working first shift a teacher approached me and ask me to get them some coffee. I know how they like their coffee so I made it exactly the way they wanted it without even asking what they wanted. yet another time a lady approacted me and my co worker. Me and my partner (CKC) once made a lady a smoothie and took it to her office on the other side of the building. I’ve had countless positive experiences while working.

Week 1

Jittery Joes isn’t my first real experience with work since I have done an internship at Fleet management (if that counts). These two jobs are completely different though. In working at Jittery Joes I’ve learned a lot of skills of the food business like stocking, making drinks and how to operate a cash register. When I was working at the shop I learned how to work as a team by helping my co workers with their paperwork and services.I implement that when I work at the coffee shop. I've also learned to deal with people alot better since i've been exposed to work.
